AWA Diversity Campaign: Status of Women and Diversity in Recognition and Awards

The Academic Women’s Association has undertaken an independent and comprehensive equity audit of the University of Alberta. The purpose of this equity audit is to assess the status of equity-seeking ‘designated groups’–women, Aboriginal peoples, visible minorities and persons with disabilities–in general and the status of women and gender equity in particular.

In this third report and the two accompanying infographics, we present findings from the AWA’s in-depth analysis of primary research and various authoritative data sources on the status of equity groups in recognition via University of Alberta and external awards for excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement.
